Ocala, FL - Donald Roger Allen was called to his heavenly home on Monday, March 2, 2026 in Ocala, Florida at the age of 84.


The Lawrence County, Tennessee Native was the son of the late Howard and Lorene Allen. In addition to his wife of 62 years, Janet Fender Allen, he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Jerry) Lovell of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and Robin (Brent) Pritchard, Adam and Aaron of Bristol, Tennessee. Preceded in death by a twin sister, Dorothy (Willard) White.


Don and Janet met in Akron, Ohio and were married in August of 1963 at the chapel on Fir Hill. While in Akron Don served as the Jayce chairman for the 1973 American Golf Classic at Firestone Country Club; employed by the University of Akron; a member of the Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.


The family moved to Columbia, Tennessee in 1977 joining Allen Steel Fabricating and later employed and retired from NISSAN Motor Manufacturing in Smyrna, Tennessee. Don volunteered at Maury Regional Hospital as a courtesy van driver.


Celebration of Life will be conducted on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Columbia, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be extended at www.countrysidefunerals.com.
