Duck River, TN - Fred Douglas Baker was born on October 14, 1938, and passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 87. He was the son of the late Fred Houser Baker and Lillian Louise Martin Baker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jewel Fay Baker; his brother, Jerry Baker.

Fred is survived by his daughters, Mary (Jimbo) Patton and Kimberly Baker; his son, Douglas (Donna) Baker; his grandchildren, Bailey Baker, Carley Baker, Cole (Brooke) Patton, and Morgan (Anna) Patton; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Wanda (Ernie) Mobley, nephew, Josh Baker and niece, Renee Bishop.

Fred was a hardworking man whose life was deeply rooted in family, faith, and the land he loved. Farming was more than a livelihood to him it was his passion. He spent countless hours tending the fields and took great pride in the work of his hands. After the passing of his wife, Fay, the friendship and companionship of family and friends helped fill the void in his life, and he cherished the time spent visiting with those he loved.

Known for his quiet strength, steady presence, and dedication to his family, Fred leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and perseverance. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
