Portland, TN - Mr. Harold Eralso Searcy, age 74 of Portland, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 at Tri Star Portland Emergency Room in Portland, Tennessee. Harold was born on July 5th, 1951 in White House, Tennessee to the late Harold Eralso Searcy and Laura Broaderick Somerville.

Harold was a proud alumnus of East Robertson High School. After high school he honorably served in the United States Army alongside his wife, Jo. He went on to retire from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in Portland, Tennessee. He was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He loved to watch all football but was a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also loved fishing. Most importantly he loved being a grandfather to Austin and Hugheston. Harold was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Thomas Somerville.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna Jo Searcy; son, Trevor Searcy (Sheena); grandchildren, Austin Searcy and Hugheston Searcy; sister, Beverly Penny Hodges; and brother, Jeff Somerville.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro Gerald Hott officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Chris Miller, Ben Yates, Adam Yates, Anthony Collins, Jeff Johns, Jake Johns and Tim Williams will serve as pallbearers. Austin Searcy and Hugheston Searcy will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 10th from 12:00PM until service time at 2:00 PM.
