Brick Church Community - Mrs. Lela Jane Guinn, 86, of the Brick Church Community died March 4, 2026, at her residence.
Mrs. Guinn was born Aug. 21, 1939, in Pulaski. She attended Brick Church Elementary, Beech Hill High School and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Home Economics. She was a devoted wife, mother and servant of her community whose life reflected faith, kindness and generosity. She taught Home Economics until she became a mother for the first time. She took great pride in creating a warm and loving home for her family and treasured her role as a stay-at-home mother. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Women's group and a winner in the "Pick Tennessee Products" program. A faithful member of First Baptist Church, she served as a co-leader of the Agape Sunday School class and had a true gift for ministering to others. She is preceded in death by parents, Owen and Mildred Bass; parents-in-law, Deadrick and Gertrude Guinn; sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Larry Gillespie; sister-in-law Jean Guinn and son-in-law Randy Vincent.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, from 1-3 p.m. at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will take place Monday, March 9, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Pulaski. Burial will be in Brick Church Cemetery in Cornersville.

Survivors include husband of 65-and-a-half years Burgess "Bud" Guinn of the Brick Church Community; daughters, Lisa Vincent, Lori (Mitch) Kocak, both of Cornersville; granddaughter Madelyn Guinn (Dylan) Smith; step-grandson Richard; step-great grandchildren, Raina, Rita; brothers-in-law, Allen Guinn, Marlan (Cheri) Guinn, Lowell (Hannah) Guinn; sisters-in-law, Doris (Max) Bailey, Sue Guinn; several nieces, nephews and cousins; best friend from elementary through college and adulthood Norma Jean Brumitt; and special long-distance friends, Macie Buckner, Mickey Beckham and Wanda Hartley.
