Five Points - Mrs. Marvenell Forsyth Burgess, 91, of Five Points died June 12, 2025, at NHC, Pulaski.


Mrs. Burgess was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Minor Hill. She was a member of Lexington Church of Christ. She loved planting flowers and reading her Bible. Her homemade chocolate pie were always a favorite at homecoming. Her guilty pleasure was getting to watch her soap operas, especially "Young and the Restless." She is preceded in death by er parents, John Lee and Opal Glass Forsyth; husband of 31years Floyd Burgess; sisters, Allene White, Dorothy Forsyth; and sons-in-law, Greg Nunley, Glen McRee and Tommy Wright.


Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19. Burial will follow in Bonnertown Cemetery.


Survivors include daughters, Diane Aymett of Minor Hill, Sandra McRee of Goodspring, Denise Nunley of Rogersville; grandchildren, Greg and wife Julie, Sharon, Leslie and husband Joe, Glynda, Chris and wife Katy, Mandy and husband Trevor, Lee and wife Malorie, Brooke and husband Chevy; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
