Erwin - Mrs. Virginia Eudean Johnson, 93, of Erwin, Tenn., died May 31, 2026, at Ocoee Hillview Heath and Rehab in Elizabethton.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 22, 1933, in Giles County. She was employed in Minor Hill Industry until it closed its doors. She was a member of the Church of Christ and found her joy in life's simple everyday pleasures. Whether she was coloring, doing word searches, listening to gospel music or spending time in the garden among the flowers, she had peace. She treasured the time she spent with her family most, which showed through the care she put into every stitch. As she sewed or crocheted, she carefully crafted everything from doll clothes to quilts and stitched love into every little treasure. She is preceded in death by parents, Verdie Carl Green and Mary Elizabeth Longshore Green; husband Herbert Junior Johnson; daughters, Deborah Lee Gray, Kathy Johnson; brother Samuel Carl Green; and sister Joyce Evelyn Johnson.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Minor Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include son Charles Johnson (Sue) of Erwin; sister Dorothy Hargrave of Chattanooga; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
